This is so critical to your success if you can’t find the owner you can’t buy any houses and you won’t be successful. Many new investors do well until they get to the part where they have to talk with the owners.

You may be wondering how to find the ugly house owners, where to go to find the contact information of the owner, do I ask the neighbors, should I send the owner a letter? How do I find the owners of these houses? The fear of rejection, hesitation and procrastination stops most newbies from contacting the owners. You don’t have to be one of them. Public records are free and available and the easiest way to get this information. One source is to pull up the county property appraisal district website. The other source is the county tax assessors’ record website. You will find on both sites the property address and also the name and address of the owner.
